  • Submit electronic and/or paper claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial insurance carriers.
  • Submit secondary and tertiary claims.
  • Review clearinghouse batch reports to ensure all claims are successfully received.
  • Post insurance and patient payments to billing system.
  • Follow-up on denied claims; resubmit or appeal denied claims.
  • Review A/R for claims that have aged more than 30 days.
  • Send monthly patient statements and respond to patient billing inquiries.
